Anyone involved in oil trading or shipping operations needs a solid combination of knowledge and skills to do their job competently.

GAC Training & Service Solutions has developed this foundation course in Oil & Shipping Operations to provide core skills for those new to oil operations or in need of re-training.

The course covers:

-Introduction to international trade and English law

-International Sale of Goods (including Incoterms)

-Trade finance and Letters of Credit

-Bills of Lading

-Carriage of Goods by Sea (including charterparties, laytime and demurrage)

-Cargo insurance and claims

-Commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation

The multi-module course is delivered on site, online or at shipping and trading hubs around the globe. To minimise time out, it is condensed into two days with a reading list to be completed beforehand. Upon successful completion, course participants will be certified as competent to handle the daily demands and challenges that arise in oil and shipping operations.
