Spring Conferring 2009

The Spring conferring ceremony of Degrees and Special Purpose Awards took place on Thursday, 12th of February 2009 at the National Maritime College of Ireland.
Four classes of graduates were presented, Special Purpose Certificate (NFQ Level 6) in Naval Leadership & Management, Bachelor of Business in Supply Chain & Transport Management,
Bachelor of Engineering in Marine & Plant Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science.
The first Honours Degree in Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science was awarded to Colin Patrick McBrearty who also presented a copy of his Dissertation on Shipboard Visual Display Units to the Library.
The master of ceremonies was Captain John Clarence, Head of College who introduced the graduates to the Director of CIT, Dr. Brendan Murphy to receive their parchments.
The graduates and their families and friends were invited to the college restaurant for refreshments after the ceremony.
