An Exhibition of Artwork by Rytis Teresko
Tuesday 26 May 2009
FOLLOW ON is a collection of work by Rytis S. Teresko. Rytis is from Lithuania and since a young age he says he was creative and always tried to change his surroundings in the way he thought best, yet his real interest in art only developed while spending time in Cork Prison over a year ago.
Teresko was born in Lithuania. He attended Middle School in Lithuania and High School in Moscow. He then went back to study Business Management and graduated with a Bachelors Degree.
He decided that he needed a change in his life and over the next 14 years he moved from country to country, in this process he tried new things and new experiences.
The majority of Teresko’s work uses the human face as subject matter. He likes to paint portraits playing with light and shade. In recent times he has introduced colour to his work and this is where his work comes to life. For the past year he has worked towards this exhibition in an artist’s studio in the HOPE Project in Farranferris and in St. Helen’s Convent in Blarney.
