Focus Education is the consortium which has provided the National Maritime College of Ireland facilities in Ringaskiddy.
It is a consortium comprising Bovis Lend Lease (a division of Lend Lease) and Bank of Scotland (a division of Halifax Bank of Scotland Group).
The National Maritime College of Ireland was designed and built by Bovis Lend Lease working with BDP Architects and Pierse Contracting. It will be operated for 25 years by Vita Lend Lease, the facilities management subsidiary of Lend Lease.
Vita Lend Lease is an integral part of the Lend Lease business, dedicated to providing facilities management, whole life costs and property advisory services to clients in the retail, communities, health, government, education and commercial sectors.
In the Private Finance Initiative arena in the UK we are established in a number of long-term contracts delivering total facilities management and the life cycle replacement of the asset to ensure availability and performance for up to 35 years of the contract. Projects currently in operation in the UK include total facilities management contracts for HM Treasury & HM Revenue & Customs Buildings, Whitehall, London; Bluewater and Touchwood retail centres; and Royal Worcestershire Hospital, Worcester. Vita Lend Lease currently manages a life cycle fund in excess of £500stg million.
Our work brings us into daily contact with thousands of people – doctors, nurses, patients, teachers, pupils, customers, tenants and the public at large which includes 40 million retail guests per annum. Their expectations are many and varied. In response, we provide well-trained and fully resourced teams, steeped in a service culture of courtesy, care and efficiency.
