Evening Leisure Courses
Evening courses at the NMCI will be useful for marine leisure enthusiasts as well as those with a background in the maritime industry who hope to enhance their working experience with a formal qualification.
Registration can be arranged by returning a fully completed Evening Course Application Form along with the appropriate course fee to the CIT Administration Office at the National Maritime College of Ireland, Ringaskiddy, Cork. Any queries can be directed to admissions@nmci.ie or (021) 4970 643.
- Foundation Diploma in ShippingThis diploma is offered as an evening course in NMCI and is accredited by the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in London. It is suitable for those involved in the world of shipping, transport, freight forwarding, port operations and ship agency work.
- Yacht Master (Offshore) CertificateThere is no specific qualification for entry to the course but it is desirable that prospective students would have achieved the ISA Coastal Certificate (Grade 2) level of competence.
- Yacht Master (Ocean) CertificateThis course is designed for experienced sailors and is primarily intended for persons holding the ISA Yachtmaster (Ocean) Certificate.
- Bachelor of Business in Supply Chain and Transport ManagementThis qualification is a one year step up degree for participants holding the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) or IIPMM (Procurement and Supply Chain Management) Diploma or Graduateship in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent Level
