Summer Conferrings June 2011

The Summer conferring ceremony took place on Thursday 16th June 2011 at the National Maritime College of Ireland. The following degrees and certificates were awarded;
• Higher Certificate in Science in Nautical Studies
• Bachelor of Arts in Leadership, Management and Naval Studies
• Bachelor of Business in Supply Chain & Transport Management
• Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science
• Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nautical Science
The event was conducted with the usual decorum and gravitas and there was also a great sense of achievement and reward for the students’ success.
The event was presided over by the Director Dr. Brendan Murphy, CIT and attended by many CIT and NMCI lecturing staff and senior naval staff. The master of ceremonies was Capt. John Clarence, Head of College who introduced the graduates to the Director to receive their parchments.
Addresses were given by the Director of CIT Dr. Brendan Murphy, Head of NMCI Capt. John Clarence and Commander Martin Counihan, Associate Head of the College. The graduates and their families and friends were entertained to light refreshments in the college after the ceremony.
