What our clients have to say...

"As a recently founded shipping company, we have a clear sense of the values and standards that we hold and aspire to.  We also know that a strong team that shares those values and standards is integral to a successful business.  That is why we decided to go on a corporate team building course at the National Maritime College of Ireland.

The facilities at NMCI are world-class and the NMCI instructors did a terrific job of leading us through a series of exercises, including the Damage Repair Unit, the 360o bridge simulator and the environmental pool.  The exercises were certainly demanding and took people out of their comfort zone, but they were always very well managed with plenty of help at hand, as well as being great fun.

Everyone was challenged, but everyone rose to the challenge with the support of their team and by encouraging other team members.  The exercises got us working together and bonding together in a really positive, collaborative way.

Above all, the course reflected and reinforced the values that we want to foster at Ardmore Shipping; teamwork, confidence, professionalism, individual and collective responsibility, excellence in everything that we do, and safety.  It has helped us to build a ‘proper’ team in every sense of the word.

I would recommend the NMCI team-building course to anyone that is looking to strengthen their team and encourage a greater sense unity and camaraderie within their organisation."

Gerry Docherty, Technical Superintendent, Ardmore Shipping

“An excellent course ran by professionals. Training was delivered to a very high standard and information was conveyed in a clear and professional manner. Overall I felt the course was very good and well delivered by all trainers”. (Terry J. Rathire) (BOSIET Course)

"I recently completed a FOET course with NMCI Services and I have to say the instructors were fantastic. They were welcoming, professional and made learning the updated ways of using underwater breathing equipment very easy. The fire fighting and first aid course elements were also concise and very good at the intended refreshing of previously learned skills " (Andrew Woodman, December 2015)

“The course content was excellent and all four instructors (Terry, Joe, Killiann, and Liz) were exceptional at their jobs. I would highly recommend the training centre. I will definitely be returning to complete my next course at the facility”.  (Rory O’Connor) (BOSIET Course)

“I had an enjoyable day on the FOET. The three instructors were very professional and informative. All questions were answered and explained thoroughly. I will definitely recommend NMCIS to all of my colleagues”. (Stephen Harris) (FOET Course)

Gateway to Cruise Line & Ferry Industry (SNO & CETB)

I completed ‘Gateway to Cruise Line and Ferry Industry’ at NMCI, Ringaskiddy, Co Cork. With top class facilities and exceptional, knowledgeable and experienced instructors, this course was a major success. I have learned invaluable skills, awareness and knowledge which I will use when working onboard cruise liners. Having a past employee of a major cruise liner be part of this programme, it transforms the course to be more real. I could vividly imagine exactly what it would be like to work and live onboard. I always had an interest in knowing; what it would be like to work onboard a cruise liner or ferry? Not alone does the course answer my question; it has also given me the training, knowledge and confidence needed to seek out work onboard a cruise liner. I would like to thank NMCI, CETB and all instructors for their time and dedication in making this course a reality and a major success.
