Course Prerequisites
- PSCRB candidates must be 18 years or over
- Original valid (Past 5 years) STCW, Certificate or Valid Updated Certificate of Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques.
- Candidates must have evidence of approved sea-going service of not less than 6 months. Please note that all sea-time must be approved by the Dept. of Transport in advance of course commencement
- Candidates must be medically certified by a doctor to be in good health (ENG 11 /Doctors Note)

Full Description:
Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (PSCRB)
Duration: 3 Days
This three-day course, delivered by National Maritime College of Ireland Training Services (NMCITS), meets the mandatory training requirements of the STCW Convention, Chapter VI, Section A-VI/2, Table A-VI/2-1, for personnel assigned duties on survival craft and rescue boats (other than fast rescue boats).
The programme combines classroom learning with realistic practical training using NMCI's advanced lifeboat simulators and survival craft facilities. Learners will develop the knowledge and skills required to inspect, launch, recover, operate and command survival craft and rescue boats, manage survivors, and use lifesaving equipment safely and effectively.
Training is delivered using high-fidelity simulators compliant with STCW Code Section A-I/12, together with practical exercises on survival craft that conform to the Life-Saving Appliance (LSA) Code, providing a safe and realistic learning environment.

Swim wear, wash gear and towel, PPE, hard boots/shoes, warm clothes, change of clothes, €1 coin for safety locker
